Michelle Friedman

Michelle is a first generation native Californian. She was born in Inglewood to a housewife a CPA, and an older brother. The family moved to Encino when she was ten. Michelle has been a Valley girl since then, never moving too far from her family.

While Michelle was in High school she volunteered at a camp for disabled children. Her plan was to be a special education teacher.

After graduating from California State University at Northridge she was lured away from teaching to work with computers. For twenty years she worked as a computer programmer and printing/output specialist with two Fortune Five-hundred Companies.

Michelle returned to school to receive her Masters Degree from Pepperdine University after she realized that she missed connecting with people.

After graduation her first Internship was at The Coalition to End Family Violence where she learned to run therapy groups for court mandated perpetrators of Domestic Violence. She was also able to work with survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse and couples. Michelle also taught Parenting at the Coalition.

Her next Internship was at PAY Positive Alternatives for Youth working with children and teens from high-risk families.
